Thailand: A Wedding & Updates
Rachel & Caleb's Wedding in Thailand!
Right now it has been about 17 days since getting back from Thailand so I wanted to give
Some Updates:
*Xiang Xiang (the little girl who stayed with us for a few months) now lives with her mother, they just
moved last week into an apartment near her school. Please keep praying for them. Her mom hasn't
been able to find work. It is hard to find child care for her 2 year old daughter has been through
heart surgeries in the last year. Also, it is difficult because of only one arm and a bad leg.
*A Friend just came back from a trip in the States to get medical care for their adopted son, Ian. Also
two days ago, another Friend moved back to the States for a few months to get surgery for their
recently adopted daughter, Ella. Please be praying for both of them and their adjustment.
*Phil and I are doing great! We are applying for jobs in the States already. So cross your fingers and
lift up prayers that God will provide work that we will enjoy and best glorify His kingdom with.
Yesterday, Phil and I moved into our friend's apartment that just moved to the states. It is a bitter
sweet moment for we no longer live with Phil's sister, Linds, Josh, and the 5 kids. But after living
with others for the last 8 months, it is nice to have a place for Phil and I to be together alone.
* Linds is going great as well! She is due in March with baby #6. So please lift that up to God!!
Mae or August will be join us very soon, so Phil and I moving out gives them space to set up a
nursery. Also when Linds is in labor, the kids will be able to stay with Phil and I here in our new
apartment to give Linds and Josh space and freedom to enjoy having a new little one.
* Oh and We'll be back in 8 Weeks! Hopefully see you soon!
Well those are just a few updates of our lives right now!
Now to
A Wedding in Thailand!
January 26, 2013
Your welcome to re-read the blog post titled Thailand: Riding Ostriches.
It explains how and why we came to Thailand and can update you more about our trip.
These are some pictures of our friends' Rachel & Caleb's wedding photos I got to take while there.
It was such a simple & beautiful wedding experience just praising God, enjoy time spent with each other, and honoring God's design for marriage.

The house before all the wedding decor! The men are pre-planing and cleaning up the yard. This is Caleb's parent's house. |
Andreal was the first casualty. A hurt toe! |
The Bride getting ready for the big day! |
What amazing food: Fruit (Pineapple. Watermelon, Mango, and Local Thai fruit), Famous Thai Mango Sticky Rice, and my favorite Fresh Coconut Ice cream!! So good! |
At 6:00pm that night, they got married right there on that porch with a crowd of friends and family and Ipads/ I phones Skyping in friends and family from are across the world. |
I had the honor to be one of Rachel & Caleb's Photographers for their wedding. We ended up having a Blast! We took pictures around Caleb's parent neighborhood as well as a national park close by.
What a gorgeous couple! Here are a few shots I took:
What a Beautiful Park! |
There's Me! |
While we were taking pictures, these two random Thail (?) women came up and wanted pictures with Rachel & Caleb too! Why not I guess!? I think they thought they were models. haha |
The beautiful programs Andreal designed. |
The house all decorated and ready! |
Caleb and his dad fixing last minute decorations |

The Bride, Rachel and I right before the ceremony! |

Us! ( I felt pretty short right then!) |
Phil and I saying Hi to all of Ya'll! |
Phil and I also had the pleasure of holding an Ipad & Iphone during
the ceremony so that Rachel's dad and friends could be Skyped in to watch.
God was definitely there with us!
Before Rachel and Caleb went up to say "I Do". We and about 50 others stood in the yard praising God with hands lifted high!
A band played worship while we sang out to the
Lord our God in praise to the most Mighty and Lover of our lives.

A marriage is such a thing of Glory for it represents God's love for us and His relationship with the Church. Jesus came and died for us showing us how we are to love our spouses and others.
After Vows, Caleb's dad married Rachel & Caleb on his front porch in front of God
and friends from around the world. We then ate snacks and gorged on amazing Coconut Ice Cream and lit of Giant lanterns. I was so amazed how big those lanterns were. Four feet tall in length it took two people to hold and one person to light it. Watching them float off into the sky
(minus the one that hit a power line haha) was beautiful!
What a Celebration!
Phil and I stayed another week in Thailand traveling 3 hours South on a Bus to Chiang Mai.
I hope to have those pictures up soon for everyone!
Thanks for following and praying for us!
Love all Ya'll!
